As much of a test UMBC had yesterday, they should have another good one tomorrow against UMES. It is possible that UMBC came out strong because of that competitiveness small schools get when playing a big time school, But this time they are going against a very talented UMES team. UMBC beat them last year, but like UMBC, they return a lot, and add a lot more. If UMBC hesitates at all, they could get beat. But if they come out with the same fire under them like yesterday they should get the win. Michelle Kurowski is on the verse of a break through. 21 points and seven rebounds is very good, but my no means is she that star yet. She is on the verge and could make that step at any time, so watch out, it could be a big game. Cassidy had a down game against Virginia, probably because she tried to do too much. Look out for her to be more consistent. Meghan Colabella, what can I say. She was great against Virginia, expect the same this game. Then there is Brooks. You can’t at all take her problems against Virginia into consideration, because well, it was Virginia. This is going to be the game to see if she’s ready to run the team. if she does well it’s her job, if she struggles, it may not be long before Brokans jumps back in.
